To Whom It May Concern:
Please accept this letter of recommendation for Kris Iliev. Over the past four years at Canisius College, I have served as his professor and academic advisor. Therefore, I believe my insights will be helpful during your review process.
Since I’ve known him, Kris has excelled. He is well rounded, as evinced by his dual major in Computer Science and Digital Media Arts. He is committed to service, as can be observed both during and outside of class with the way he helps students who are less experienced than him. He is passionate about his field of interest, as I note on every occasion we meet in my office or in the labs and engage in inquiry and investigation upon any and all topics digital media related.
These informal meetings have been a truly joyful experience for me. At these times, Kris is at his best: enthusiastic, inquisitive, talkative yet articulate. These characteristics are the hallmark of those who thrive in post-graduate studies, as I’m sure Kris will. His future professors and colleagues will undoubtedly agree.
The reason I’m so convinced about this is clear. Kris is fascinated with digital media and expresses a desire to understand it at its most innate levels. It’s not enough to know that a process or program works, it is immeasurably more important to know how it works; even at the expense of producing something that fulfills the requirements of a set of parameters. This need to know is what makes Kris a true scholar.
It is with these thoughts that I wholeheartedly recommend Kris. Please feel free to contact me at 716.888.3125 (office) or dunkleb@canisius.edu (email) with any comments or questions.
Sincerely,
Ben Dunkle
