I offer results-driven outcomes as a proven professional and professor in the arts and sciences. I presently lecture at Canisius University of New York, a private AACSB-accredited institution and beacon of academic excellence. I hold a dual-major BS in computer science (CS) and digital media arts (DMA) from Canisius University as well as an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from the same institution. I have also been accepted to MIT’s data science program but had, in recent years, decided to continue with a 2nd in-progress MS in Data Analytics at Canisius.
In essence, through many years, I have worked diligently to acquire the skills, experience, and practicum necessary to function as a one-man creative consulting agency and creative director.
I teach via experiential and practical, hands-on learning and examples rather than simply theory. My work is primarily in technical arts, but I am also a performance artist, lyricist, and songwriter with Sony Music Publishing.

I have taken a unique path in my life, from academia and the arts and technical sciences to even the performing arts. I offer a highly attuned, diverse, and eclectic range of creative, technical, business, arts, and sciences skills as one individual that I have spent my life cultivating. If you need help with something, I am the one who can find a solution for you.
My expertise spans multiple fields. I am capable of pulling information from one field and connecting it to another with precision and granularity, and cross-working between these disciplines to derive a cohesive end result. Said differently, I pull knowledge from a wide array of modern fields and create a unique result you may not have considered before. This fluency and movement across fields is exactly what you or your business needs to succeed in today’s world and digital, creative, and technical era—and is exactly what I’ve spent my life practicing.
I have lived through the issues and scenarios you are facing with your business or academic work. This experiential learning is specific to my life experiences, degrees, and my own work and business lines.
Real-world examples
Here is how I combine my skills in a specific, technically and artistically nuanced manner to deliver tangible results.
- Say you have an issue with software—but that software is creative software. The issue is technical in nature but also requires a strong, honed, and proven, creative eye. I can handle and resolve this for you as both a computer scientist and creative who employs skills in both fields.
- Consider working in creative software but being unaware of the pipeline for getting an animation out in Adobe After Effects and rendering it properly and placing it on a website. I can resolve this for you using these technical and creative facets of my repertoire.
- Imagine you are building a portfolio (technical arts and sciences field) and simultaneously need help with understanding how to market yourself as a creative (MBA). I can directly help you with this as an artist and performer myself who deals with these matters daily.

Hi everyone,
This is Professor Kristiyan-Daniel V. Iliev.
I currently lecture at Canisius University of New York. As a American–European computer scientist, data scientist, designer, Sony music artist, performer (performing artist), songwriter (lyricist), dancer, and DJ (WIP), I am greatly interested in sharing my interests, professional expertise, performing-arts desires and capacities, and most of all my original creative works, including music, designs, clothing, and art.
I engage in this on a commercial level and am rather serious as it comes to my output; therefore, all works posted here are my own and derive solely (and rather soulfully) from me, being hand-constructed with significant care, time, devotion, effort, persistence, dedication, and immense passion for the arts & sciences.
Ideas are my own, and I do not rely on generative A.I. to establish or produce original works (i.e., the work itself is never generative A.I.). If artificial intelligence is ever utilized in any piece I create, it is never the foundation or core creative aspect (main idea or subject, for example) but more so strictly for the process or completion (e.g., certain animations or effects, small cuts, etc.)—this never overtakes the core or essence of what the creative work is nor its motif, visual formulation, and similar.
As such, all of these works are copyrighted/©2026, Professor Kristiyan-Daniel V. Iliev, and designed, produced, performed, composed (i.e., songwriting and lyricism), and more specifically by my hand—so you can trust it is my own work and created with integrity and originality [and that a human is behind it]:
- performances (raps, dances, and more are original, raw recordings where I do indeed dance, rap, and perform; to reiterate, this is not gen A.I.—I have had a passion for dancing and performance since a child, and this was, again, my original life desire);
- designs (graphic designs, clothing and apparel designs, and all visual design; I have loved art for as long as I can recall and eventually, through unwavering faith, belief, and commitment, transformed it into a viable career path);
- music, including composition, production, songwriting, and lyricism (as a Sony music artist, my music is produced digitally via Ableton Live [and first FL Studio], and all tangible expressions of my ideas, including production, lyrics & songwriting, and vocal work such as raps and singing are my own);
- computer science, data science, technical research and reports, and any academic work as related therein, all of which have taken significant original ideation, time, and effort to construct—and significant collaboration time if co-constructed or collaborated on;
- and any and all creative work (2D & 3D, video editing, animation, and even voice-actor work).
I hold significant respect for creativity, the arts (including performing arts, such as theater, ballet, hip-hop, and more), and sciences, and greatly appreciate the heart, fervor, intellect, skill set, and all human-oriented aspects necessary to ultimately create such a piece of work from these disciplines.
My original path in life was to be a performing and music artist (songwriter, actor, producer, musician, and so on), but life has quite a unique way of allowing you to explore all its facets and beauty. Therefore, I eventually grew fond of academia and the sciences, STEM, and related disciplines as well as computers, and decided to explore this path for over a decade of my life with intensity and gravitas.
However, after some time, I experienced an unexpected 180-degree turnaround in my life—my long-suppressed passion for the performing arts, after nearly twenty years, re-arose, and I made the decision to pursue becoming a full artist (song, composition, and dance, including in electronic and hip-hop) with full seriousness at the beginning of 2026. I have now fully began to explore freestyling both in dancing and rapping, singing, writing and producing multilingual music, and the full breadth and depth of all that life has to offer creatively, and this is represented in all of my public works.
Yet, throughout my life, what has consistently ignited my fire and kept me pursuing my passions has been faith. Amidst seemingly insurmountable hardships in life of all manner [with many stories and much wisdom acquired from these points in time], seeking opportunity in a brand-new country (the United States), experiencing early democracy as a young child in Bulgaria, and ultimately becoming an American–European (American–Bulgarian, or dual, citizen), it has been this pure faith and belief that has led my steps. While young by numeric age, my accumulation of life experience and universally oriented understanding is not limited and also remains a core part of my repertoire.
Whether it is through art or academia, dancing or singing, or all manner and multitude of expression, my ultimate goal is to uplift and inspire others who have or are faring through similar difficulties in life. We are all people, after all, and connection, compassion, and kindness is essential to continued progress in life as everyone strives to discover their purpose.
